ridiculous.

Today I heard something that bothered me personally, but that I thought in general was just a stupid thing to say.

Basically, a guy insulted a girl because she had "long-ass" legs and proceeded by calling her a circus freak. A circus freak.
....are you insane??!

What really ticked me off about this was that this was coming from a guy.

Girls are judgmental enough about their bodies- come on, we've all done it. Whether we wish we had fuller busts or thinner thighs etc., we've judged our bodies & the way we look at some point. We're hard on ourselves & our appearances- even though we really shouldn't be! Your flaws are your uniqueness, they are your beauty. Except them & accentuate them. They make you different from everyone else- in a good way.

Some guys just don't grow up. I really can't get over the fact that he insulted her because she had long legs! Of all things, legs. I'm sorry, but isn't reason why girls love heels is how much longer they make their legs look? Long legs are beautiful. And also the fact that he was insulting her body. Back to the girls are judgmental thing? We don't need judgmental comments from immature boys. Grow up & man up.

Cheating wavy hair

My hair is impossible. It doesn't stay still when I curl it, it repells hairspray, and my natural hair? Okay, it might look pretty for a day. That's it. I straighten my hair. (GHD- best investment you will ever have on a hair product, don't let the price scare you) Thing is, I have thin hair, and I don't have a lot of it either. Thin hair = fragile hair. Straightening it probably isn't the best thing to do, hee. I need to get a trim soon, I have split ends again, and not just a few here and there.

How am I going to be doing my hair on Halloween?

I'll be cheating wavy/curly hair, no heat required!

Watch this awesome video from SecretLifeOfaBioNerd on YouTube! I experimented with this today, and I really liked the way my hair turned out.

song of the week

Every week I get a song stuck in my head and it gets abused on my ipod, playing nonstop. It's kind of random. It can get really bad when it's multiple songs (as it was for Humanoid- Tokio Hotel's third album, go buy it btw- after it came out, but I'm not complaining there!)

This week?

Bad Romance- Lady Gaga!

Listen:

The single came out just yesterday digitally. Go buy it on iTunes!

Je veux ton amor
Et je veux ton revenge
Je veux ton amor
I don't wanna be friends

daylight savings

Already?!
This means I get an extra hour of sleep- WIN.

I've been anticipating this since last week. Saying that out loud for the first time makes me realize how pathetic that is, ahaha. But hey, I lovelovelove sleep. I function on 14 hours of sleep, no less! ...and yet I get 5-6 hours of sleep during the weekdays. So an extra hour? Fuck. yes. teehee.

Dear Europe,
it is totally unfair that you've all already turned back your clocks.
Those of us in the US- we're turning our clocks back on Sunday, if you don't already know. I'll forget & then be really excited again when I find out, of course.

twilight

Just because...

Regardless, I'm actually going to go see New Moon. The books I don't mind- I thought they were cute. Maybe New Moon will be better than Twilight? Twilight was hilarious :X

halloween

Halloween is just a week away now!

Dressing up & partying? Trick-or-treating? Walking around with shaving cream & eggs? Or maybe even a mixture of all three ;)

I honestly love Halloween. You get to dress up in generic costumes and run around looking like an alter-ego, or whatever you want to call it, for a day without being questioned what you had in your coffee that morning. And dressing up is fun to begin with. Halloween is also a legitimate reason to dress super slutty- you'll get away with it. That's not supposed to mean anything though, just sayin'. :3

This year I'm going to be the queen of hearts from Alice in Wonderland. I didn't want to buy a generic costume, so I combined clothes I actually already have with fun accessories, and made my own. (but I still spent the same amount of $$$ that I would on a generic costume anyways, LOL) I'm debating on keeping my hair straight or making it curly. I'm probably going to call with curly, but I hope the curls will stay in.

False lashess!! I don't wear false lashes, but this is a good time to experiment with them, y/y? I am of course going to do my make-up super dramatic. hee.

Halloween falls on a Saturday this year- which is actually FANTASTIC. I honestly don't know 100% what I'm doing yet- need to settle everything by the end of the day on monday! I'm going to dress up on Friday, for school. I'll dress up on Saturday if I go to a party, but I'd rather not combine suede booties with eggs while running around getting candy.

MLIA

I spent the entirety of seventh period on this site instead of doing a PowerPoint for French.
It was worth it.

Today in Biology we were learning about bonds between atoms. My biology teacher tells us that, "Oxygen sucks on electrons REALLY hard. It sucks on them harder than any other element." Several boys in the front of the room sniggered. She looked right at them and says, "I did say suck on purpose. Now you will remember it." I will never forget that fact. Ever. MLIA
#1044351
Today, we had a test in Science Class. One question was "How do you delay the speed at which milk turns sour?". I didn't know the answer, so I wrote "Keep it in the cow". Full credit was awarded. MLIA.
The other day my brother was complaining of an ear ache. My mum gave him a pill and told him it would help. My brother proceeded to stick the pill in his ear and then cry for my mum to remove it with tweezers, only she couldn't because she was laughing too much. My brother is 25. MLIA
Today, I was bored in my health class. I wondered to myself, "I wonder if anyone really can read minds." I then thought to myself, "Hey! If anyone in this room can read minds, cough now!" The kid next to me caughed the looked over at me and smiled. I'm scared. MLIA.
Today I was sitting outside of Starbucks. A teenage girl walked by wearing a T-shirt reading "Bite Me. (Vampires Only)." I then see a nine-year-old girl walk up to this teenager, bite her arm, and say "Harry Potter pwns," and then walk away. Her mother then told her, "Good job, sweetie." MLIA
Today my students submitted their propaganda commercials and we watched them as a class. One group created a male enhancement drug with the company name of MEGA OH MAN( M.O.M). At the end of their commercial, their slogan was, "The next time you're doing naughty things, bring your MOM." MLIA.
Today, a professional hacker came to talk to our school and he spoke about internet safety and trolling. He mentioned that he enjoyed going into Jonas Brothers forums and being as offensive as he could. Everyone burst ito applause. MLIA

Best Buy - review

SUPER- LONG REVIEW OF TUESDAY!
I had an awesome time, overall.

Crap, I haven't been posting on my blog lately! I promise it's not neglectance, it's that I never have time to!

Onto my review!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's start from the morning. I woke up at 3:45 AM. I therefore got no sleep, thank you very much. I take a while (okay, more than awhile ;D) to get ready in the morning, and this was maybe a bit too early. I took a train to the city and got there around 6. It's NYC, where do you walk without seeing a Starbucks? From Grand Central I took the subway to Best Buy- freaked out a bit because I missed the train I was supposed to take and had to wait 10 minutes for the next one to come. But I was at Best Buy at 6:30. There were already 100 people there, a few with sleepingbags and a bunch with blankets. Even though it was supposed to be 65 degrees outside that day, it was FREEZING in the morning. Within the next hour the line doubled & was already around the corner. Oh, and Duane Reade opened and the Snuggies were flying off the shelves. We completely sold them out. :snort: Snuggies IMO are ridiculous, but I bought one anyways. It was so cold. D: Waiting for BB to open I talked to a few girls on the line that were around me. BB people also came out and put the barricades out. We had to move up a couple of times to make room so more people could fit in them. The wristbands started selling at 9. It was literarily one per person. You were given a wristband- which someone put on you, and a laminated necklace thing. After that I stayed around for only a bit- reason being that I saw some familiar faces! It's so awesome when you're friends with the people around you while you're on line for something TH & you meet them again like a year later & you all still remember everything from last time! :heartbeat: Most people left to get something to eat after they got their wristbands, but a lot of people were sticking around BB, regardless of what time BB wanted us to line up by. There was the longest line ever at Starbucks for the bathroom. By the way, it was entirely TH fans. And one very angry lady at the end of the line. LOL. I went uptown to get lunch and ventured around there until I came back to BB at 2:30. There were about 200-300 people there. Instead of going on the line, I went to Urban Outfitters and ended up buying me a new outfit. teehee. I also made a giant hole in my leopard leggings, so I didn't get to wear them. :woe: When I got back to the line it definitely got much longer. Thankfully I found my friends from previous concerts & hung out with them. We spent about half of the time talking about Jost and Bill's new bodyguard's fannypack. And the other half giving ridiculous answers to people who came up and asked "who are you waiting for?", because people asked every five minutes. = me in hysterical laughing fits. Around 4:30, the Best Buy people were riling up the crowd. Basically, making fangirls scream. Made people on the street and cars stop and stand dumbstruck. There was TH music (Humanoid) blasting from the BB store and a lot of random screaming as well. There were a few police there, but I really don't know what they were doing. There wasn't too much bullshit & drama as far as I know. BB really made us squish into the barriers though, because there had to be more room for people at the back of the line because more people were coming. AND THEN... wow my review is long. And THEN I met up with Kayla and her friend Tori. Do you ever get the experience when you're calling someone because you're looking for them and you don't know where they are? Then they end up being five feet away from you? ...:D About two minutes after I met Kayla- which I envy her pretty hair, her friend Elizabeth came running over and we ended up getting to the front of the line. If someone is standing next to me and they're nervous, even if I'm totally calm, I get vibes from them and I start feeling their nervousness. Dammit, then at 6:30 they started letting people in and my mind went BLANK. No thoughts are able to process. Oh and there was some creeper man and I have no idea what he was saying, but that's NYC and pretty much irreverent to this review ::): I was in the third group to go in. Basically you walk into Best Buy, walk almost to the middle of the store- right by the cash registers where they directed you to go in the morning to get your wristbands. Natalie walked by when I was waiting to get my wristband off by a BB person. Natalie is awesome, hee. IDK how I didn't notice it in the morning, but there was a staircase going down. RAN DOWN THE STAIRCASE, and on the first landing, you could see the bbs and the setup. Once you were "ready" and were done taking your pictures, you continued going down the stairs and waited for your turn. Yeah well the two pictures I tried to take ended up craptacular so I just followed Kayla & Elizabeth down the stairs. Um, I think that I forgot to remember to remember everything that happens then. But hey, at least with a blank mind you're not nervous because you are unable to think about anything. There were like 6 guys standing around the table with the bbs, idk if they were bodyguards or just there. None of them were bodyguards I know, if that's the case. I had my album out- ~*ganzganzgeilsuperdeluxefanpack*~, whatever, it's going to be 10X more awesome when I get it signed. Well, once I was on the last step of the stairs & I was the next person in line to go up, I didn't know what I wanted to get signed anymore. I asked one of the guys by the table if I could get my arm signed. He was a big help. Bill looked at me so I just asked him. He said "yeah, sure", and then I walked up and he signed my arm. I don't know if he touched my arm, so I can't talk about how his or any of the other guys' hands feel, lol. He saw that I was holding my album, and he asked "and the album too?". I know I had a very stupid "confused" expression on my face then. But yeah, sure, why not? So I gave it to him & he signed that as well, and passed it to Tom. At some point I accidentally stepped onto the platform that they were on. This would mean veryclosetotopplingontopofthetable. Oops. Then I moved over and held my arm out for Tom to sign. I don't know if I said anything to him or to the Gs, oh my god. I hope I did. :shut: I honestly don't remember exactly what he or any of the guys said, though. Tom looked at me first, then signed my arm, walked over to Georg, Georg signed my arm & grinned, and Gustav said "hi" (I think?) and signed my arm as well. And then.... where the f*** is my album? So, I physically get to the end of the table slower than my album does, and one of the BB people working there were severely confused and looking for the person whose album it was. You got back upstairs by an escalator, and there was a BB lady giving out these Humanoid posters, and I got one. There's a time where something just happened but it doesn't feel like its real or it happened to begin with? Just about what I was feeling like! I still couldn't think. The first thing that hit me, actually, was that I hadn't eaten all day after lunch. I had lunch at 11. I eat every two hours, because I'm one of those people that gets hungry that fast, no matter what they eat two hours earlier. I went to a pizza place with Kayla, Elizabeth, Tori, and Kayla's mom & sister. After we left, I seriously had to get on the subway and go to Grand Central and go home, but we went around the back entrance of Best Buy and TH's escalade was there. Didn't get to see them walking out, but got to talk to their driver. Random: on the subway I realized that I didn't see Jost creeping around, and I was very disappointed in that. I wanted to see a creeping Jost. It's been in my every TH experience. And that's the end of my review. It's long, I know. But I had a lot of fun, and the wait was totally worth it. ::): Now I have to go to sleep. Hope you enjoyed my review! :heartbeat:

Oct 15, 2009

well hello thur, Best Buy

Who can guess why I will be at 622 Broadway, NYC (Best Buy) tuesday?

Snow!

It's October and it's snowing(noooo!!)... well that's a first.
Thankfully, none of it is sticking to the ground. It's coming down in huge chunks.

Global warming is a lie, IMO. Should be called global cooling! It's too cold in NY :(

Summer really blew this year. Rained everyday, and when it wasn't raining, it wasn't hot- it just sucked. I was so excited for it to be fall. Now I get to wear my boots and jeans and cute sweaters. More importantly BOOTS! :D
September there were a few days where it was 70-80 degrees. Enjoyed these days very much, but there was no way I was going to not wear jeans, even if it was a bit too warm for them.

36 degrees outside, brr!

I hope the weather picks up a bit the last two weeks of the month.

xoxo gossip girl

New Gossip Girl tonight at 9PM EST!

I might have to miss this episode- I have more studying to do. Haven't watched last week's episode yet either, oh my!

I'll watch it online/buy it from iTunes tomorrow then (sigh). :/

For those of you who CAN watch it, enjoy! The trailer of the episode looks juicy ;)

No wonder you're late. Why, this watch is exactly two days slow.

Agh!!
Just got back from my two appointments. Had a dermatologist appointment followed by a dentist appointment.

What's the sense of making ten appointments at the same time? I was at my dermatologist ten minutes early, but I ended up waiting for an hour. AGJSHG!!! I'm SO VERY glad how much better my skin looks now. But I really have a whole head of patience and nothing to do, so I can wait. :/

Dentist appointment went well, I just feel sick now from the stuff they put in my mouth. I can't eat or drink for at least another twenty minutes, screw!

EDIT
It works! It'll only update every half-hour, but that's enough for now. :)

OMG, SHOES

I got distracted from my work already. What was I distracted by?
Shoes! Shoes are essential pieces to an outfit- they top it off. And it's also fun looking at them & trying them on.
I absolutely love love shoes. And although I'm tall, I ADORE heels!

Some shoes that have caught my attention (and the attention of my wallet!)

They're BLUE. That's awesome. 4.5" heel, not too bad!

These are SO cute! I can totally imagine wearing these with skinny jeans and a comfy cream colored sweater. Motorcycle jacket would work too! ;)

I've wanted these boots since last year. Motorcycle boots are on the top of my need-to-buy list. I love them so much, I really have no idea how I don't own a pair yet, because this is totally something I would wear!

I've been looking for a pair of cheetah/leopard print heels- these are awesome! A lot of times when you see leopard printed shoes, they look a bit fake? I don't know how to describe it, but just REALLY bad. These, however pass the test. SO cute.

Another pair from Steve Madden! Steve Madden shoes are just amazing in general, ngl! Anyways, I am a boots girl, but cowboy boots aren't really... me, you know? Also, I don't like brown leather. ugh. But I've been having the most terrible urge to get a pair, I'll impulse buy them one day and be ecstatic about it! Now this pair is a bit simple, eh? I am yet to find a pair with some intricate design on it that I actually like, LOL. So in this case, simple is best!
OMG, SHOES!

morning!

Agh, I hate mornings! Woken up quite early today, got a call at 10 AM. Now, as a night person that loves sleep, this is so so SO early for me to be up. Even if the call was about going to the mall, haha!

Thank you Columbus day, because I have no school. But I have a shitload of work to do now, because I did zilch over the weekend.

I better get started on this soon...

Me

hello loves!

What is there to know about me?

Quite a lot, actually. So I really won't be able to get it through in just one post. Basics?

5'9" too much for you? Actually, I hope for the day where I get another little growth spurt and end up 5'10". Maybe it's because of it being an even-er number? I can't stand odd numbers, don't know why. No specific reason to be 5'10" either, haha.

brunette OH LORDY, don't get me started on my hair! I like being a brunette, and I can't imagine my hair being another color. Actually, I can't dye it anyways. I've died it before- got dark-brown lowlights on the bottom layer, and have not fully grown out yet. And that's the part of my hair that's a frizzy damaged mess until I straighten it. My hair? Impossible. It's thin & I don't have a super-thick head of hair. It breaks shit easy, so I have to be super careful with it all the time. Aha, that's exactly why I straighten it though. My hair is naturally straight-wavy. How do I explain it? It's like straight, then a bump, straight, bump, straight. Fucking annoying it is. I can get it to look like I came straight off the beach, but it lasts for a day, and the second day it's all over. Also, my hair does not stay curly and does this thing where it repells hairspray. You are never going to get my hair to stay in curls ;)

brown eyes I love my eyes! They do this weird thing in the light where they change color and whatnot and it looks really cool, hee. I am nearsighted and have glasses, but it's not a very strong prescription. I don't need glasses all of the time, but I really would get contacts anyways. I'd really want prescription contacts that were colored, maybe blue ones? I think color contacts are so much fun, creepy sometimes, but I like my eyes, so, yeah. :)

polish I'm polish, actually. Jak sie maz? :P My parents are from Poland, along with the entirety of my family. I'm pretty much 500% Polish. I really don't consider myself American, even though I was born & live in the US. I do speak polish- my vocabulary isn't that advanced though, but I do understand almost everything in conversation and whatnot. :)

music Tokio Hotel. I love this band and the boys so much. Will have a post just about them soon. I do listen to other music though! I'm more an alternative girl, I love rock as well, I listen to the radio so I do have a few mainstream songs on my ipod, and seriously, there are always songs that sound like stripper songs in my iTunes- LOL. Country, blues, jazz, house music- I don't understand how people listen to this. eep my poor ears! D:

new york I LOVE cities! I live in NY state, but not the city. I totally love it though. I haven't been everywhere in the city, but I do explore quite frequently ;) Other than nyc I've been to London, Paris, Geneva, Warszawa (along with a bunch of other places in Poland), Montreal. I think traveling is wonderful. I was in London, Paris, and Geneva over the summer, actually. I hope I can go back to London & Paris, I wasn't there for enough! I also really want to see LA, Miami, Tokyo, and Berlin.

shopping I love shopping. Too much sometimes. But who doesn't? ;)

style whats my style? I don't think you can put a word to it. It's like a mix of beachy, skater, rocker, girly, and that high-end-fashion-prissy. Shiny! Boots are love. Leather jackets- you know me too well. ONGZ RUFFLES. A scarf and tons of jewelry to top it off! I don't purposely stick to black grey and white, and I have nothing against color- except for orange! Orange is the only color I truly have a problem with. And I can't STAND neon!

personality you'll surely get a load of it if you stick around, bb. But for now.. ;) I'm a virgo. Do I freakily demonstrate all the characteristics a virgo is supposed to have? Yesr. Well, maybe not all of them, but close. I am a perfectionist, and totally OCD. I do use sarcasm, so watch out!

books wut? Is it the apocalypse yet? I read books as a kid, but I can't stand them now.

tv I don't watch that much tv! The only show I really have a following for is Gossip Girl. However, I do watch Project Runway, 90210, the occasional cartoons, love SNL, and whatever I find flipping through channels! I've been hearing a lot about a show called True Blood? I might try that soon :)

Shit this is getting long!

I feel like I've just brushed over the surface of everything. That was really only simple things. o_o

You can always ask me questions though ;)

xoxo
